About the book-

A Walk in the Woods is a delightful children's rhyming book that tells the story of a young girl named Laura living a simple life in her Yurt. She explores the wonders of nature by growing her garden, gathering mushrooms, pinecones, and finding joy in the beauty all around her. This book is sure to captivate the imagination of young readers while teaching them the wonders of nature and inspiring a love of the beautiful outdoors.

My experience- 

I have already worked with Julie Nichole on 3 books and this one was the fourth book from the series. I know that there is one more book in the series which is already under making by Blueberry illustrations.

My experience with this book series and Julie has been extremely wonderful. The author decided to use a publishing package which includes all publishing services (cover, layout, hardcover format & e-book publishing) along with the book trailer. The book trailers are really helpful from children book promotion point of view. I think when you are writing a book series, you may try a few promotion services for your children's book , with different promotion services for different books. This really helps an author in concluding which promotion services are good. The illustrations for this particular book were completed in a few weeks with few revisions. Author selected one of our best illustrators and the same illustrator worked with Julie (author) for the three previous books. It is a huge advantage when the children's book illustrator understands the requirements of the author. This saves a lot of time for both parties. Once the illustrations were completed, the publishing service was easy. A few layouts were shared with the author and since the author was already well aware of all the details and processes, it was all a quick work.

Collaborating with Sean and the Blueberry Illustrations team has been an absolute delight. Sean consistently goes the extra mile to address any queries and his commitment to client satisfaction is truly commendable. I couldn't be happier with their illustrations across all my books. As the author has mentioned in her own words, there are many queries during the complete process and it is very important to address each and every issue from the author otherwise the children's book authors lose their faith in the overall process, and they start to feel that the publishing agency is doing things in a manner which is not transparent. It is very important for all agencies to involve the children's book authors during the process of children's book illustrations as well as the publishing process. Failing to do so, results in poor relationship between the two parties. As this was fourth book from the book series, we already share a great understanding with each other. Julie understands how Blueberry illustrations works and Blueberry illustrations was quick to address all her issues. There were a few revisions in the illustrations as well as during the design process but everything was solved with great speed. The author also requested to re-do one of the illustrations as she was not hapy with the revised version. The request was also agreed to and a fresh illustration was offered. The author was extremely happy with the final look and feel of her children's book.
